Moose better known as "Moo"
Well we have to give a thank you to Auntie Rhonda for bringing "Moo" into Jamison's life. Oh, how did he manage before he had his faithfull sidekick with him throughout the day. Oh the MANY joyfull activities they enjoy together...
Breakfast
Many, many, many diaper changes
He makes a lot of "poo poo" in a day, perhaps it's those big breakfasts.

Terry and Zach in Cincinnati, OH. January 2009
This is the trip Terry and Zach just took to Cincinnati, OH. It sounds like they had a good time hanging out together and partaking in the schedule of activities I painstakingly spent MANY evenings putting together for them :) Anyhow here are a few of the pics from the trip.
Terry picked up Zach in Lexington,KY on Friday the 16th. The first night they picked up some KFC on the way to their hotel and just hung out there for the evening.
Saturday they went to the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. I knew that would be a hit as Zach is a big baseball player and Terry, while he doesn't get to play as often as he would like, is a big baseball player and fan also.
Sunday they visited the Newport Aquarium where they spent a couple of hours. Again they had a lot of fun and Terry came home with many many pictures of aquatic life that I guess they found to be pretty interesting. :) So at the aquarium you can take advantage of the opportunity to feed the parrots and they will sit on your head or arm while they are eating. Or in Zach's case your shoulder and then poop on your back. Love it, nature is so fun. Hee hee
This is a picture they took at "The Levee" on the Ohio river. It is a fairly new outdoor mall type of place. They have fun shops, restaurants, the aquarium, a 20 theater movie complex, etc. Just a fun place to hang out and have fun. However it was super super cold so they didn't get to do as much hanging out as they wanted to. But they did eat at a Mexican resturant there, see a movie, and get some Coldstone ice cream, after all it is never to cold for ice cream.
I know the trip was to short as always for Terry. But he had a so much fun just hanging out with Zach. Good times.

Family Home Evening and Twinkies
Well we have been really trying to make sure to do our Family Home Evenings. It is easy for me because I just use the nursery lesson, which I'm sure Jamison doesn't realize he's getting for the second time due to the craziness that occurs in nursery. This particular night Terry was in charge of "treats" and we got a Twinkie. Holy cow the child about lost his mind. As many of you know as a general rule we don't give Jamison a lot of sweets. Some times all it takes is as much as one cookie, but when he gets too much sugar he breaks out in a really bad rash on his bottom and around his mouth. So to have a WHOLE Twinkie was a very special treat. He was running around, hiding in his tunnel, squealing with delight with the sugary cream spread across his face all the while trying to lick it off with his tongue. He was so funny, totally in sugar Heaven. Then today at the doctors office, our sweet Dr. Beckstead gave him a sucker. Jamison took it out of his hand and said "no,no,no,no" Now that's my boy. I had to laugh, poor kid, we let him have the sucker and he was the happiest kid ever. Why are sweets sooooo good and yet sooooooo evil :)

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!
One afternoon we hit the bowling ally in Idaho Falls. I thought it was lots of fun. Jamison really got into it. When his ball would roll, ever so slowly, into the gutter he would say.. "On NO NO NO NO"... or "UH OHHHH" What a crack up. I loved it when he would roll his ball and throw his arms up in the air shouting with total joy. I love this picture of Terry running after the ball. He was trying to keep it from going into the gutter. Yep they had one set of bumpers and they were being repaired so Terry tried his best to handle that.

Merry Christmas!!
Another great Christmas has come and gone. This year we decided to stay home in Bountiful to begin some of our own family traditions. On Christmas Eve Terry's sister Rhonda and Her husband Verle and their children came over and we had Chinese food and played a couple of very heated rounds of Pictionary. Then they headed back home to Clearfield to get their kids ready for Santa :).
We started our evening by bundling Jamison up and taking him to the front yard to sprinkle his "Magic Reindeer Food" all over the snow. He had so much fun throwing heaping spoonfuls of the oats and glitter EVERYWHERE!! Next we came inside, cleaned up, and sat down to open a present we had under the tree. I got the inspiration to do this next activity from a talk in church on Sunday. We had wrapped a picture of Christ in a box, Jamison opened it and we talked about Jesus and his birth and the gifts he has given to us and what we could give back to him. Then we gave Jamison two little pictures of Jesus to tape on his bedroom wall. He was so cute as he excitedly jumped up and ran into his room and stuck them next to his bed on the wall. After that we had him open his last present of the evening, his PJ's. He was so funny, after he opened them he got very shy and turned around, grabbed me around my neck and was giggling and burring his head into my neck. We had to peel him off to get him changed. Silly boy, I don't know where that came from. He was fine after we changed him. Finally it was off to bed for stories, songs, and milk. Then sleepy time.

I was very thankful to Jamison for giving us the gift of sleeping in until 8:00. I did however get up early anyway to put some cinnamon rolls in the oven and get a quick shower in before the festivities began. We were interested to see if he would even take notice of the gifts left by Santa and other family members far and wide, under the tree. Nope he didn't pay much attention to them at all, he was more concerned about the tree lights.

We did get him started with the stocking and then moved to the presents. He did well for a little while. We had to take a few breaks. Of course after he would open a gift he wanted to go and play with it and couldn't understand why we wouldn't just let him be and kept interrupting him to open more presents. After a little while he finally flat out refused to open another one. He wanted nothing to do with them. So we stopped and had breakfast he even took a nap, and still wanted nothing to do with them. So we just opened the last few and showed them to him and that worked out OK. Kids, they sure do have their own way of doing things, don't they :)
So I knew he would love this gift, I didn't think he would LOVE it quite as much as he does. His favorite gift was this Vacuum. he likes to have it running ALL THE TIME. Boy why did I buy that pack of C batteries. Big mistake. Well it may be driving me crazy but he sure does enjoy it, all day long! Seriously, all day long.
Later that morning Terry got Zach on the phone and we got to talk to him for a little bit and it sounded like he was having a good Christmas morning. It is still very hard, especially for Terry, not to be with him, but it was good to be able to talk to him. And Terry will be heading out there in 2 weeks to spend a few days with him, so knowing he would be seeing him soon helps.

Chamber Choir

Zach's Chamber Choir went to Allfest this year. It's an event that is attended by choirs throughout Kentucky. They spend the first 2 days practicing then give a concert the last day. It is a big deal and we are very happy to see Zach utilizing his talents in such a positive way. And it sounds like he is really enjoying it too. Good job Zach :)!!!
