Saturday Is A Special Day :)

What does one do on a Saturday? Another Lowes workshop of course. We really do love these and it was fun to have Shane join in the fun this time :). Yep He was there with Rachel and the boys and again thanks to Rachel for the pics. This weeks project: Doggie Treat box. OHHH AHHH FUNN

After Lowes we dropped Terry off at home to study for a while and Jamison and I ran some errands. Later we went out to Terry's sisters house for dinner. It was nice to be there especially because Terry's parents were in town.
Afterward Terry and I took Jamison to Burger Stop in Layton for a Hayride though the city park light display. I was FREEZING but we had fun.
Jamison was thrilled to see Santa again. I had to laugh because he did seem a bit annoyed to be asked yet again what he wanted for Christmas. He answered with a sort of , Don't you know by now "2 Cars". He really just wanted to sit and shoot the breeze with Santa.
The wait in line for our turn.

Here we go!!!!
Jamison LOVED the tunnel of lights. I loved them too because it was so stinking cold that I swear I could feel warmth from all the lights in there.

Gift Box Flower

I saw a tutorial on a blog
for these cute flower bands to put on your gift boxes. I thought I would give them a try. As you can see they're not quite as cute as the original but I think they are still fun. I think I need to make the center petals a litter wider and that should help out. Any how they are so easy and quick to make. fun stuff

Fun Times

We love our Saturdays in the miller family. It is so nice to have a day to spend together as a family and get out and about.
Today started off with another workshop at Lowes. Our friend Rachel and her super cute boys were there so we all had a great time hangin out. The boys did a great job on their projects but the true fun was to be found on the pallets of wood. I LOVE boys!!
And a big thanks to Rachel for being an awesome mom and taking pictures and sharing them with us. Thanks :)

After Lowes we headed over to see Santa at The Rockin E Country Store. I think that's the name of it. What a fun Santa. I wasn't sure what Jamison would think about seeing him again but I could tell this was more of a progress report meeting for him than anything. First thin he told him was that the Horse was still broken. He has been quite upset about this situation. There is a mechanical horse that is like the best one out there at this store that you can ride for a dime and he LOVES it. So next he told Santa he was being a "Good Boy" and still wanted his "2 Cars". Then he got a candy cane and was done.
As you can see he was not happy about me interrupting this very important meeting. Sorry Bubby :)

Jamison enjoying his candy on the way home.

After that we went home and I took off to a friends house for a cookie exchange. Yummy. While Jamison took a nap and Terry did some studying.
When I got home we took off to do some Christmas shopping and finished off the night with a little Polar Express while Jamison had his favorite Beans and Rice. Then off to bed.
Aside from the wonderful colds Jamison and I have and Terry is fighting off, it was another fun day. I am so grateful for this time we get to spend together.

Christmas Tree

The Christmas Tree is finally up. Jamison was so excited about hanging the ornaments. We had bought the tree the night before and put it up in the house and that was about it. He was just sort of like OK a tree. Then the next morning I had put the lights on before he woke up to make the whole decorating process a smoother run. When he woke up and I brought him out to the living room he about lost his mind. He LOVED the lights. While in the kitchen I could hear him saying over and over again, "I like the tree". He just stood there staring at the lights for quite some time.
Later when Terry got home we got the ornaments out and man have you ever seen a more excited child? I think not. :) He was literally squealing with joy. There is a special section of the tree that is obviously the section Jamison was decorating. So cute. I have to say he has been very good about "only looking with his eyes". Such a good boy. I have said it before and I will say it again. It is so fun to see how magical things are through the eyes of a child.

Play Day

So I supose that this is what "Let's play outside" will look like untill about March.

Another fun Saturday

Boy what a full day. Today started out with the boys watching the old tube for a while while I got breakfast going. Then we were out the door. Our first stop was at Michael's craft store for a free family event. Then we hung out at Barns and Noble for a while and we were very happy to see that it started snowing while we were in there. I LOVE to go to that book store. For some reason the vibe in there reminds me of LA. Then we came home for some sugar cookie decorating, nap time, made some holiday magnets, played, and had some yummy tortilla soup. Fun day.

Daddy's make good recliners.

Jamison is really getting into this whole icing and sprinkles thing. He had fun decorating his cookies but I think he ate about 75 percent of his supplies.

Jamison showing us what he made at Michael's earlier in the day. A snowman stocking, a trinket box, and a card for his brother Zach. I'll have to remember to have him give it to Zach when he comes out this month.

Jamison taking a little TV break before nap time

Got to love the dollar store. We picked up some holiday magnet and ornament kits there for the cousins and I thought Jamison would have fun doing one also. They are really a great little activity and he LOVES that he gets to use the glue stick to put it all together.

Christmas Trees

I love this picture of Erin and her tree. It makes me smile :)
Thanks you to Amy for letting us make a lovely mess in her kitchen so the kids could make ice cream cone Christmas trees. Fun stuff.

How much do you love the mini marshmallow snow men? :)
