Vist to the Johnson's in Arizona

Yea!!!! We got to go see Uncle Andrew, Auntie Jess, Elizabeth, Ethan, and Eric and the new house on March 19th. They were kind enough to use their last free round trip flight on us. :) Unfortunately due to illness we had to cut our visit short and came home on the 22nd instead of the 28th. We all were very sad about that but at least we got a few days in and hopefully in the next month or so here we can finish up the trip.

Sooo this is the new house. Very nice and they got all their plants transplanted while we were there and they really made the place look even better!!

True to form what was the first thing Jamison found to cling onto, the toy vacuum. I know Jessica doesn't think so but Jamison was so happy to see his cousins. It took a few days for him to settle in but he really loves hanging out with them.

I don't know what it is about a Kitchen Aid but kids sure do love to watch what is going on with one while cooking. Here we were making muffins for breakfast.

On Saturday we went to the Children's Museum in Phoenix. Unfortunately Eric couldn't join us, but we tried to have fun anyway. :) This really is a fun place for kids. There is sooo much for them to do. I believe we were there for 2 1/2 to 3 hours and we didn't even do everything!!!!

Later Saturday evening Andrew gave the family their first bonfire at the new house. It was so fun. The kids LOVED the fire. Of course we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the cool evening. it was fun to just watch the kids running around all hopped up on sugar.

We had fun as always, thanks again Andrew and Jess!!!

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Today was a very fun day. We left nice and early to get a spot at the Gateway for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. We had perfect parade weather, great spot, Dr. Pepper and hot chocolate. The parade started at 10:00 and went until a little after 12. There were lots of dogs, bag pipes, dancers, kids on bikes, "floats", music, candy thrown everywhere, horses, and on and on.
Before the parade started the lovely people from Liberty Tax were passing out foam Statue of Liberty crowns. I think every single child and dog at the parade had one on. Jamison quite enjoyed wearing his.

Due to our late start Jamison had to have breakfast at the parade. Burger King, yummy, breakfast of champions.

We had about an hour before the parade started so Jamison thought he would walk around the street and check everyone out.

Below are a few shots of the entertainment from the parade. There really was a lot of fun stuff going on. We were so glad we went down. It was a great time by all.

Nice Shoes

So I have a pair of my fun, pre baby shoes in the house that I keep around to remind myself of those carefree days of old. Jamison has discovered them and is always trying to get me to put them on. Lots of times we'll be heading out the door and I'll say "where are Mommy's shoes?" and he'll run out the room only to reappear with these heals. Is my 21 month old trying to tell me something or what. AHHHH. :)

Anyhow the other day he had them out and decided to give them a try himself. I could not stop laughing at him. He was being so silly. And let me tell you he walked around in those bad boys without to much trouble. Didn't fall once. I know many a dad out there would freak out over such a sight. But we moms know kids like to explore and are just having some innocent fun. Hopefully when I use these pictures to embarrass Jamison during his teenage years, he too will hearken back to to his own " carefree days of old" :)

Chips and Dip

Yesterday I was craving chips and green onion dip. You know the one that uses the little packet of seasoning mixed with sour cream. Yummy!! Honestly I can't even remember the last time I had some, plus I like it because it totally reminds me of being back home with my family.
Anyway, I was wondering if Jamison would like dip. We gave him a chip with some dip and his first reaction was a "not to sure about this stuff" face. Then he tried another, and a third, and then decided he wanted the whole bowl. He LOVED it!!!!! The only part he didn't like was the mess. He is in a total phase of not liking to be dirty or having yucky stuff on his fingers. He was very delicate with his dipping, trying not to get too much of it on him.
Oh the joy of chips and dip :)
