Egg Hunt at Heritage Park

My mom was in town for a few days so we thought it would be nice to go up to This Is The Places Heritage Parks Easter Egg hunt. Well it didn't turn out quite as we had hoped. A few to many people but we managed to have some fun anyway. We checked out the animals and walked around some of the buildings then headed back home.

Seeing as how the hunt at the the park wasn't a success we opted to have a little one back at home. Oh my Jamison is so fun this year, he totally gets the whole "Hunt" thing and was so cute to watch. As he was walking around searching for his prized eggs I could hear him saying lowly,"look all around, look all around", so cute.

After he was done collecting his eggs we went inside so he could open them up. He picked out his first egg, held it up by his ear, shook it, then opened it and said " oh money" then paused and looked at me and asked, "Where's the candy?" After I stopped laughing I told him to open some more and he would find some candy. So each egg was held up, shaken, and he would announce
either money or candy then open it to see if he was right. It was so fun to watch and I can't wait for him to do it again when his auntie Jenna and Great Grandma Mimi get here for the weekend.

Easter Outfit 2010

I have to say that all you women with only girls that get to go to the stores and sift through endless amounts of super cute spring/Easter dresses have no idea how frustrating it is to try to find something for the sweet little guys in our lives. There just isn't much to pick from. So once again thanks to my sister Jessica I decided to make Jamison's Easter outfit this year. She has turned me onto this super easy tie but I felt for the holiday I needed to take it to the next level
Holla!!!!!!!! We have suspenders!
That's right people I made these bad boys and so can you. I swear they took maybe a half hour to make up. And I think the end result was way worth it.

Big Boy Bed

Thanks to Jamison's grandma and aunties and uncles on the Fornelli/Jamison side he was given the gift of a big boy bed for his 3rd birthday. His birthday isn't until June but with grandma in town he got his gift a little early and let me tell you he is one excited little man.I do have to say that taking down the crib was very emotional for me. It is unbelievable that he is going to be three and that he has outgrown his crib. I still remember putting it together in Kentucky and looking at it each day waiting for him to come. I had come to a point in my life where I thought children weren't in the picture for me so getting pregnant with Jamison was a pretty amazing deal and now that baby is growing up so fast. So the crib comes down and there is no telling if it will ever go up again. We hope it will though, at least one more time.
So good bye to my little baby and welcome our big boy.

The Burp

So tonight I was out Visiting Teaching and Jamison and Terry were home playing and getting ready for bed. When I got home Terry recounted this little incident to me:

While playing one final game of Memory Jamison burped, then looked up at Terry and said "oh smell juice, excuse me"

Boys, nice :)

Little boys tie

So thanks to my sister Jessica, I have become a tie making machine!!! She is going to be teaching all the mama's in her ward to make them at enrichment activity (awesome idea, we totally need to do that in out ward) and she thought I needed to give it a try. And so I did. They are so quick and easy to make. I decided to make Terry and Jamison matching ties for Easter so off to Joann's we went. Unfortunately I unknowingly picked the day of their super sale so all the crazy crafting, sewing, homemakie women of Davis county were there grabbing everything in site. It was unlike anything you've ever seen. Well we didn't find our Easter material but did manage to escape with some cute car material.
I was surprised by Jamison enthusiasm for this project. For a couple days he kept asking for his tie. (Because you know that material sat in the bag for a couple days, one step at a time folks)Well I finally made myself sit down and make it. Now I CAN"T stop and am making my friends make them too!!

Nothing Like A Good Read

At least when he is engulfed in his books I don't feel so bad about leaving him to entertain himself while I wash dishes and clean the kitchen.

New Bike

We finally had a break with some nice weather this weekend so we headed out to see if we could find some cheap little outside toy to draw Jamison back out into the great outdoors. We weren't looking for a new bike but found this one on sale for next to nothing and thought we'd go for it. Earlier in the week, even though it was snowing, I took Jamison out for a bike ride. Hum maybe that's why we're sick again. Cabin fever, what can I say. Anyway I realized he has totally out grown his old bike, so this was perfect timing.
This is the raddest bike ever. It is a big boy bike alright. Two wheels and a pair of trainers. The only thing is it is SO TINY!! Like a mini bike. The seat just 14 inches from the ground to the top of the seat. But it is a perfect fit for our guy. It's a little different but he is getting used to it. I just trip out watching my baby play outside on his new bike. Training wheels!!!!! How did that happen?!?!?
