Zachs' visit to Utah- June 2009

We are so happy to have had Zach come out to stay with us for a little bit. I hope he had a good time. He seemed like he did. I know it was a long flight and there was a lot of driving involved with him flying in and out of Las Vegas and with the quick trip up to Idaho. but we are to grateful he was willing to suffer through all the travel to spend some time with us. The only other bummer was that it rained pretty much the WHOLE time he was here. We still managed to have fun though.

Zach and Terry at the Salt Lake Temple

(soaking wet I should add)

I think this picture most clearly shows our family at it's truest.

Now unfortunately I got the pictures out of order in this post. It just takes so long to upload this many i didn't want to go back and redo them. :)

This is at Bear World in Idaho. There are more of these pictures under Jamison 's Birthday, I didn't want to double post them. I love this shot if Zach with his cousins Anna, and Didi.

While up in Idaho Terry and Zach went to do Baptisms for the Dead at the Idaho Falls Temple. It was a special trip because Terry's parents are workers in that temple so Terry's Dad was able to work the baptisms with them.

To bad when we left to Idaho Wednesday night right after Terry had finished getting his temple recommend signed by the Stake President, we didn't remind Zach to make sure he had his Temple recommend on him. We totally flaked on that one :) When we arrived at his parents we discovered it was back in Utah in his computer case. After a few late night phone calls to Kentucky and a few early morning calls to the Temple President we got everything squared away and they were able to go do their temple work for the day.

Breakfast at Grandma and Grand Pa's

Here we see Zach and Terry oh so lovingly playing with the little one's of the family. They
were playing trampoline doge ball and nailing the kids in the face and head. You'd think the kiddos would have been running off crying but they were LOVIN it.

One of the first things we did when Zach arrived was go do a tour and meeting with an academic councilor at BYU. Zach has said it is one of the colleges he is thinking about so we thought this was a perfect opportunity to visit it and see it first hand. I have to say the councilor was so wonderful, he gave us tons of information, very helpful.
I just love this picture it is do funny. I told Zach to turn around and snapped him in mid spin.

There was a good bit of this going on at our house. Terry had wanted the Metallic Guitar Hero for a while. So even though I really didn't want to, but because I am Da Bomb!!, I had him go get it as an Early Fathers Day president so he could rock out with his boyz while Zach was here.

I wasn't sure how things were going to go between Zach and Jamison just because Zach is basically a teenage boy and usually they don't like to hang around baby's to much and because they hadn't spent time together since Jamison was born in Kentucky. I am happy so report they did really well. Jamison was totally enamored with Zach and Zach was really good and patient with Jamison. He let Jamison hug and kiss him and would pick his toys up when he threw them on the floor of the car and even let us know when Jamison had decided to try to open the car door while we were driving :). Good boys those two!!

Well you can't have a visit to Salt lake without doing all the churchy tours.
So off to the Humanitarian Center,

The Conference Center, and Temple Square we went.

So that about wraps things up. The visit went to fast for us. But we were grateful to have it. I know Terry absolutely devourers every second he gets to spend with Zach. And I was really glad to spend time with him too. Terry gets to go back to see him, but Jamison and I haven't been able to so this was the first time we'd all been together since August of 2007. Hopefully it won't be that long anymore. It is amazing to see how tall he has gotten, how deep his voice is getting, and when did he start growing facial hair :), these kids they grow up to fast!!!
Good times, Good times
